There are few people who have never experienced a headache at some time or other in their life. This can be very debilitating. From a Chinese Medical point of view they can be triggered by dietary, emotional or constitutional imbalances. Headaches can be general or affect specific parts of the head. the area and the nature of the pain, whether it is stabbing or dull, can reveal to the practitioner the root of the imbalance causing it.
Acupuncture has been known to be very effective at treating headaches and migraines. Results, however, are not necessarily always achieved quickly. Obviously the longer a person has been suffering from headaches, the longer it will take to treat them. Everyone responds differently. It is only after a full medical history is taken can the number of treatments required be assessed.
